Geophysics SIG

With a focus on geophysical data and work process standards, this Energistics SIG works on applying the standards to reduce cycle time to make business decision based on geophysical data.

Overview

The Geophysics SIG develops and publishes work practice recommendations for use of existing geophysical industry standards such as the SEG seismic formats and OGP (formerly UKOOA and EPSG) positioning standards.

These recommendations may also be implemented by defining and publishing complementary Energistics standards, which may be XML data exchange and web services standards to support the management and execution of geophysics work processes.
