Web Services Interoperability Standards, Version 1.0 (DOC, 277 KB)

These standards, currently published as Version 1 (December 2008), describe a set of endorsements of existing computing specifications with related usage constraints and guidelines.
These standards can be used by energy industry companies as a basis for internal operating standards and to support the procurement of tools that will interoperate well together. They are intended for use by enterprise architects, solution developers, and solution and system integrators.
In many cases, these standards refer to the WS-I Base Profile and SOAP Binding Profile and cover areas, including message format, service description, security, XML schema use, and message transport.
During 2010, a review is planned to ensure that these standards are current and relevant. Members are being invited to contribute material for consideration as extensions to the standards.
