The Energistics Consortium will host a virtual interactive testing session, informally known as an “ILAB.”
The purpose of this members-only ILAB is to:
Test the implementations of ETP v1.2 clients and servers
Advance the development of the ETP v1.2 Conformance Testing Tool, an important component of the upcoming ETP v1.2 Certification Program
Provide a collaborative space for Energistics members to test software and share feedback
Previously, ILABs were held alongside the Energistics Sessions at The Open Group Summit, combining in-person and virtual formats. This time, the ILAB will be all virtual, providing broader access ahead of the Summit.

Event Details:When: September 25, 2025 (Thursday), 7:00 AM – 12:00 Noon CDT (Houston time)
Where: Online – the meeting is scheduled as a regular Energistics WebEx meeting and will appear on the Energistics calendar in the Collaboration Center.
Who Should Attend: Programmers, software developers, solution architects, and other technical experts. This is a members-only event.
Why Join?
This is a highly collaborative and informal session, where participants connect directly with peers to test ETP v1.2 servers and clients using Energistics data models, including:
- WITSML v2.1
- RESQML v2.2
- PRODML v2.3
Members come prepared with specific testing goals. For example, a company might seek to connect with someone running an ETP v1.2 server with Protocol 22 (ChannelDataLoad). Pre-work is encouraged, so attendees understand who is participating and what will be available to test.
Coordination and updates (including test server credentials, login info, and program adjustments) will be shared on the Energistics Certification Slack Channel.
Additionally, the ILAB will feature a community-driven session on the ETP v1.2 Conformance Testing Tool—an open-source client application being developed by the Energistics community. Details for this session will also be posted on Slack.
