Kongsberg Digital announces the release of a free test simulator for WITSML v2.1 and ETP v1.2, which are standards developed by the members of the Energistics® Consortium. The simulator is available to anyone who wants to test software that implements these standards.
The test simulator supports some key ETP protocols and WITSML™ objects, and it comes pre-loaded with test data, which users can modify as needed.
The purpose of the test simulator is to create a set of streaming channel data feeds, which people can use to test their ETP v1.2/WITSML v2.1 supporting stores. Realtime data streaming (both sending and receiving) is crucial functionality of ETP. However, unlike static files of test data, having a streaming test source can be harder to find, so the test simulator provides a crucial resource.
Kongsberg Digital is making the tool available to foster collaboration, innovation, and the adoption of the mentioned standard versions within the industry.
The simulator can be downloaded from: SiteComApps.kognif.ai
The site also provides documentation and a short video tutorial to help users get started.
Key Features:
- Target Users: Software developers and testers
- Functionality: Provides WITSML v2.1 and ETP v1.2 feeds to a consuming target system
